Nearly a year after launch, the record-breaking 2025 Game of the Year shows absolutely no signs of winding down. Sandfall Interactive continues to tend to Clair Obscur Expedition 33 with care, and update 1.5.3 has now rolled out across all platforms, consoles and PC alike, tackling a range of issues that the community has been vocal about. Here’s the full breakdown of what’s changed.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 deploys a new update
This one isn’t the sweeping content event that October 2025’s major update was, no new bosses, no new features, no grand additions to the world. What it is, however, is a focused and meaningful round of bug fixes that players of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 have genuinely been waiting for. The headline fix addresses a crash that could trigger after defeating the Siren, a frustrating and widely reported issue that Sandfall says has now been properly investigated, addressed, and tested. Clair Obscur’s photo mode has received its own set of corrections as well, alongside a number of other gameplay-facing issues.
On the progression side, a save bug affecting certain collectibles has been resolved, ensuring items are now correctly logged when picked up. Several other crashes tied to specific encounters have been fully eliminated. And in true Sandfall fashion, the smaller details haven’t been neglected either, collision inconsistencies and disappearing audio sequences have both been cleaned up. Update 1.5.3 of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is now live across all platforms.
