As the year draws to a close, the Gran Turismo 7 World Finals took place this weekend, showcasing some of the best virtual racing. The championship not only highlighted top-tier racing, but also gave Polyphony Digital the chance to make several major announcements, including the release of significant new free collaborative content coming soon to the PlayStation-exclusive title.
Historic Free Content Coming to Gran Turismo 7
The news continues to pour in from the Gran Turismo 7 World Finals in Fukuoka. In addition to important announcements and upcoming competition venues, Polyphony Digital and Hyundai revealed the next confirmed car for the game: the Hyundai Elantra N TCR. This new car was officially presented on stage by representatives from both Hyundai and Polyphony Digital, with Hyundai confirming that this free content will arrive in the next game update, likely scheduled for January 2026.
While Gran Turismo 7 already offers a solid range of Gr.4 cars, the addition of a modern, high-performance TCR car is great news for fans of front-wheel-drive racing. The Elantra N TCR is Hyundai’s third TCR model, following the success of the i30 N and Veloster N. Developed by Hyundai Motorsport in Alzenau, Germany, the car takes full advantage of the Elantra’s stable, high-performance chassis. Hyundai also highlighted that this marks a decade of collaboration between Hyundai N and virtual car simulations, especially within the Gran Turismo franchise.
Although the Elantra N TCR is the immediate free addition to Gran Turismo 7, the partnership between Polyphony and Hyundai’s N division doesn’t appear to be slowing down. A Hyundai representative hinted on stage that this is just the beginning, with more announcements planned for 2026. It remains to be seen whether these will include new N road models, additional race cars, or even a new Vision Gran Turismo project.

What’s your hate on for Hyundai and or Kia what did they do to hurt you?. Though alot of company’s are making cheaper cars for people who cannot afford triple a titles or super cars or afford to import cars they want or like. Tbh Hyundai and Kai both have e some decent looking nice cars compate to some company’s now a days that just all look the same only truck if I was able to drive because I deal with siezure and that is the Ford as they still keep there square looking style body. Other wise most company’s mow there vehicles all look like duplicates so you can say all you want but those other companies like Hyundai and Kia and Toyota and Honda all of those company’s are gonna keep stating in business and some of them are already having there own ev lineups regardless if we like it or not or you don’t this is the future as we know it right now. People need to be less picky about alot of things in this world or the ones thst do strive are gonna be the picky eater ones and thr cry baby’s 😢 lmao
5 stars for the article because it’s Christmas, but I’m another of those who thought “ugh, a new Hyundai, who actually cares, it’s only happening because they’re paying to get showcased and not because anyone gives a fig”.
But the screenshot of the car is actually encouraging, it looks nice but not exactly on the urgent shopping list.
It is a fun game very realistic driving , just love it, it is recomended
Good read just really sucks Grand trismo don’t cater to everyone special to their Australian fan we have alot of exciting cars some becoming big in America they claim to have cars from all around the world but wrong i get exited when I see these feeds pop up thinking they are putting some real cars in it daily cars to modify and race
